Helping a Worthy Cause

Robins & Day is a National Group of Peugeot dealerships, and together we're determined to be able to help make a difference. We're supporting the Peugeot Motor Company fundraising activities for Children in Need, and with the help of all our dealers will work hard to make a worthwhile donation to this fantastic cause. We all look forward to helping Children in Need in 2012.

Press Release 02 November 2012

Our Robins & Day dealers have been involved in all kinds of fundraising for BBC Children In Need.

Donate to Children In Need • Robins & Day employees in Rochester cycled over 22 miles, including 7 miles up hill, for BBC Children in Need. All finished the race and most completed in under 2 hours 30mins. They managed to raise over £1000 with their efforts. Well done everyone!

• Robins & Day Romford will be holding a series of fundraising events in November including cake sales, a firework display, a 70 miles bike ride and will be encouraging all the men in the dealership to grow a moustache for Movember. The dealership held a quiz night on the 22nd September where a giant Teddy bear was donated by a local company. The ‘Name the Bear’ competition raised over £100 taking the total to an impressive £1,400.

• Robins & Day Derby have donated £20 from each sale to Children In Need during their VIP Weekend. They have also organised a group diet where each employee donated £10 to take part. The dealership offers wrist bands and Children in need merchandise in the showroom. Further activities have been planned by the dealer including a ‘back wax’, a cake sale and ‘dress down’ days. Over £500 has been raised so far.

All our Robins & Day dealers have committed to raise money for this worthy cause. Our aftersales invoices now include a £0.50 donation to Children in Need as every penny counts! To take part, contact your local dealership to see what fun(draising) events they have organised.

Peugeot Partners with Pudsey Bear

Donate to Children In Need Peugeot UK has today kick-started its 2012 plans by announcing that working with its Dealer network, the Brand has agreed to become official charity partner with the BBC’s Children in Need. As part of the exciting partnership the leading motoring brand has set an ambitious target for fundraising for the charity, which helps disadvantaged children across the UK.

Peugeot will significantly increase its charity involvement with Pudsey bear and co with the creation of an official partnership, a move the Company hopes will be replicated for many years to come as the relationship between the two organisations grows over the coming months.

Speaking about the news, Andrew Didlick, Director of Communications at Peugeot Motor Company UK, said: “Children in Need has a long and impressive record of raising vast sums for worthwhile causes.

“Peugeot and Pudsey are a perfect fit. We were very impressed with our initial involvement with Children in Need last year and it seemed a natural next step to continue a partnership that will lead to us raising vital funds for disadvantaged children across the UK.”

“We feel confident that our colleagues across the company, including our 250-strong UK-wide dealer network, and our loyal customers, will rise to the challenge of raising huge sums for this excellent cause.”

“We take our charity fundraising very seriously but we are also confident that raising money for Children in Need will lead to a lot of fun along the way.”

“This is set to be an exciting year for Peugeot in many ways and we look forward to raising as much money as possible for Children in Need.”
