The new Peugeot 908 has been designed to not only comply with the latest endurance racing regulations, but also be as environmentally friendly as possible, to mirror Peugeot’s green credentials.
Peugeot’s new HYbrid4 engine technology, due in retail vehicles towards the end of the year, combines diesel and electric power to improve performance and conserve energy; the engine stores kinetic energy generated under braking, and uses it to feedback into the driveline during acceleration. Along the pit-lane, the 908 can be run purely in electric mode to save fuel.
