| Record Breaking Peugeot 308! |
Robins & Day is proud to announce that the Peugeot 308 SR HDi 110 has broken a world record for excellent fuel economy, achieving 126.8 MPG which has been authenticated by Guinness World Records.
The 308 SR HDi 110 was driven for 3,700 miles (175 hours worth of driving), by a Bristish couple known as the fuel fugitives, around the UK. The journey, which was the equivalent of driving a return trip from Johm O' Groats to Lands End almost twice, used just 29.1 gallons (132 litres) of diesel! With a 60 litre fuel tank, the 308 needed just over two tanks of diesel costing approximately £136.24, an incredible 3.6p per mile.
The same couple also embarked on a similar quest last year, driving a 308 HDi around Australia, achieving an average of 90.75 MPG over 9,620 miles.
