All-New fifth generation Vauxhall Corsa is close to the end of development
The all-new Vauxhall Corsa is close to the end of development. The fifth generation Corsa is set to be the most efficient ever, following extensive testing and fine-tuning.
Intensive testing has been carried out by Vauxhall engineers during winter in Swedish Lapland on frozen lakes and snow-covered roads. Pre-production cars have been tested on test tracks at the test centre for handling tuning, and electrical tests have been conducted in the laboratory.
The new Corsa will offer high levels of safety, comfort and driving dynamics, determined by test engineers. Testing has struck a balance between the 'fun-to-drive' Vauxhall brand qualities, and limits set by the ESP (Electronic Stability Program) system. Vauxhall engineers repeatedly lapped the uniquely designed handing course which used both oval and special surfaces in order to continually optimise the control systems.
