The New Citroen C3 is Here

06 January 2017

The third generation of the Citroen C3 has arrived revamped and improved, it’s not just a striking new look but a better drive, with a luxurious interior and many quality features that create a vehicle brimming with modern technology and class. The car was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show late last year and is available to order now, and there are many reasons why you should consider doing so.

Style

At first glance you can tell the New Citroen C3 has taken a lot of style inspiration from the successful C4 Cactus. The same Airbump panels are featured at the bottom of the doors on both sides, a line of air-filled bumps which help the car stand out but also protect it from sunlight, water, scratches and more. Then there’s the bolder front face and curvier body with a floating roof design which add to its appearance.

You can choose a style to suit personal tastes too, as the New Citroen C3 is available in nine colours with three possible roof colours (36 possible combinations in total!). The interior has been refined too, with quality textiles and welcoming seats providing comfort and style for driver and passengers.

A panoramic sunroof creates exceptional brightness on sunny days, increasing the spacious feeling inside, with options to change the intensity by using the sunblind. Plus, storage compartments have been designed to be as functional as possible, with a boot volume of nearly 300 litres.

Performance

There are five different engines available in the New C3 range, including three-cylinder PureTech 1.2 litre petrol models and two 1.6 litre turbo-diesel BlueHDi options. If you’re after pure power, then a 1.6 litre diesel with 100bhp is best, while there is a 75bhp option and the three petrol versions offer 68, 82 and 110bhp with Stop & Start engines.

Models with a five and six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox are available too. For a hatchback, the 110bhp petrol engine is the quickest, while all offer over 60mpg average fuel economy and the diesel versions have CO2 emissions below 100g/km.

Intelligent Technology

New Citroen C3 Flair models include a world first in technology of a ConnectedCAM. This is a connected wide angle HD camera that is mounted on the windscreen which can be used to make videos when the car is stationary or to record when in transit. It can be used to take photos of beautiful scenery with a click when stopped, or to record useful footage in the event of an accident.

Along with this the car includes a 3D connected navigation system, a reversing camera and lane departure warning system to make driving a lot easier. There’s a touchscreen infotainment system for using such features as well as for audio, making a phone call, changing the temperature and much more.

All these features make the New Citroen C3 a fantastic hatchback and one that is well worth seeking out for anyone’s next vehicle.
