Citroën C3 Aircross Compact SUV Makes It A Hat Trick In Company Car Today CCT100 Awards 2020

23 January 2020

For the third year in succession, Citroën C3 Aircross Compact SUV has won the ‘Compact Crossover of the Year’ trophy in the Company Car Today CCT100 Awards.

Citroën’s C3 Aircross is once again our favourite small crossover, collecting a third Company Car Today CCT100 Award,” said Company Car Today Editor, Paul Barker. “It is brilliant value, has a good choice of efficient engines, has a funky and characterful interior and a huge boot, making for a great all-rounder.

C3 Aircross Compact SUV was the first car to win the CCT100 ‘Compact Crossover of the Year’ category in 2018, soon after Company Car Today was launched – and no other car has held the title since.

The compact five-seat SUV can be readily personalised, thanks to the 34 different colour combinations and five interior ambiences on offer. On the inside, C3 Aircross Compact SUV offers one of the roomiest interiors in its class, with the added flexibility of a two-part sliding rear bench on the best-selling ‘Flair’ trim level.    The sliding rear bench offers a choice of either increased boot space or more rear legroom. Sliding the seats forward also provides easy access to the top tethers on the seat backs when installing car seats – there is no need to reach through the boot, as is the case with some rivals. The outstanding level of practicality on ‘Flair’ versions is further enhanced its dual level boot floor, with all versions in the C3 Aircross Compact SUV range offering a maximum boot capacity of up to 520-litres.

C3 Aircross Compact SUV also offers up to 12 safety and driver aid systems, and Citroën’s latest-generation petrol and diesel engines capable of delivering up to 62.7mpg (WLTP combined), with low CO2 emissions.

The CCT100 is Company Car Today’s definitive list of the top 100 cars that can fulfil any business car requirement. A shortlist containing the top five cars in each category is assessed across 12 key factors that define an excellent company car, including emissions, price, running costs, company car tax, practicality, desirability and the driving experience.

The ‘Compact Crossover of the Year’ accolade from Company Car Today is the latest award bestowed upon C3 Aircross Compact SUV. Last year, in addition to the 2019 CCT100 prize, Auto Express and Business Motoring both presented ‘Best Small SUV’ titles to C3 Aircross Compact SUV.
