Citroën C3 - 2009-2019
If you own a Citroën C3, second generation (manufacturered between 2009-2019), please check if it is part of the campaign by using the link here. DS 3 - 2016-2019
If you own a DS 3, first generation (manufacturered between 2016-2019) or Citroën DS 3 (manufacturered between 2009 - 2016), please verify its inclusion in the campaign via the link here. Citroën Airbag Recall: What Drivers Need to Know
Citroën has issued an urgent airbag recall for certain older vehicles fitted with Takata airbags. Some affected vehicles are subject to a mandatory Stop Drive notice, meaning they should not be driven until the recalled airbag has been replaced.
The chemicals inside the airbag inflator can deteriorate over time. If the airbag is activated during a collision, the inflator may rupture under excessive pressure and release metal fragments into the vehicle.
Affected owners should stop driving their vehicle where instructed, park it in a safe location and arrange a free repair with Citroën.
Which Vehicles are Included in the Citroën Airbag Recall?
The Citroën Takata airbag recall may affect certain vehicles from the following model ranges:
• Citroën C3, second generation, manufactured between 2009 and 2017
• Citroën DS3 and DS Automobiles DS 3, manufactured between 2009 and 2019
• Citroën C4, manufactured between 2010 and 2018
• Citroën DS4, manufactured between 2010 and 2018
• Citroën DS5, manufactured between 2010 and 2018
• Citroën C-Zero, manufactured between 2010 and 2017

What Should I Do if my Citroën is Affected?
If the checker confirms that your vehicle is included in the recall:
• Stop driving immediately if a Stop Drive notice applies.
• Leave the vehicle parked in a safe location.
• Contact the Citroën Recall Helpline on 0800 917 9285.
• Arrange for the affected airbag to be replaced free of charge.
• Do not drive the vehicle to a repair centre unless Citroën has confirmed that it is safe to do so.
Repairs may be completed at your home or by an authorised local retailer, depending on the support available in your area.
