Robins & Day Motability

The Motability scheme is an inclusive way to enable those with disabilities to get mobile. It does this by exchanging disabled people’s mobility allowance for the lease of a brand-new car. Motability covers most running costs, so if you or your family members sign up for the scheme, you only need to worry about paying for your fuel.

our Allowance

DLA cars have a 60,000-mileage allowance over three years. Once you reach the end of your three years, you can swap your car for a new one.

In addition, the scheme includes insurance for two named drivers; servicing and maintenance; tyre and windscreen replacement; full RAC breakdown assistance; and annual car tax. Also, many adaptations are charged at no extra cost. To find out more about adaptations, see the section below.

Motability Car Prices

Motability car prices are split into three options so that you can pick a vehicle that fits your budget the best. These are:

  1. Cars that cost less than your weekly mobility allowance, so you keep the difference.
  2. Cars that cost exactly the same as your allowance.
  3. Cars that cost the same as your allowance, plus a one-off advance payment.
